The ritual

Your iced latte in two minutes.

Three steps, one glass, plenty of ice. For PURE in the bowl, leave out milk and ice and use about 70 ml of water.

Measure and sieve

Two heaped bamboo scoops of DAILY through a fine sieve into a bowl. That keeps it free of lumps.

30 ml · about 75 °C · about 20 sii.

A little water, whisk

About 30 ml of warm water, not boiling, then whisk with the chasen in a zigzag motion until you have a smooth, frothy paste. With little water the matcha stays bold next to milk and ice.

200 mliii.

Pour over ice

Fill a glass with ice, add 200 ml of cold milk or oat drink, then the matcha on top. Stir, or leave the swirls.

Origin and harvest

Grown in the shade. Ground to powder.

The tea bushes are shaded before the harvest. In the softened light the young leaves become more tender and sweeter. After the harvest they are steamed, dried, de-veined and ground to a fine powder.
