About us
RINSUMILA is a shop for matcha from Japan. Here you can find out where our tea comes from, who is behind the brand and how we work.
Origin: matcha from Japan
Our matcha comes from Japan. It is made of green tea ground into a fine powder, and nothing else. For the launch, we plan to source it through a supplier in the EU that specialises in Japanese matcha and imports the tea from Japan. Its private-label service includes packing and labelling with a lot number and a best-before date.
Who is behind RINSUMILA
RINSUMILA is a brand of TopieT GmbH, based in Hilden. As a food business operator, we are responsible for what we sell you. We are a company from Germany and we do not tell a Japanese story that is not our own. The tea comes from Japan, the brand from Hilden, and that is exactly how we say it.
Why RINSUMILA
We did not want to build yet another tea shop with an endless range, but a matcha brand with a clear identity for a daily ritual. The idea behind it: to make high-quality Japanese matcha so simple and so beautiful that your first iced latte can become a daily ritual. High quality, yet accessible. A small range in which you can quickly see what suits you. Open about origin and quality. And without promises of healing: for us it is about taste, origin and the moment you take for yourself with it.
What we sell
- DAILY in the 50 g pouch is our matcha for every day, made for lattes and iced lattes.
- REFILL is DAILY in the 100 g pouch for refilling.
- PURE in the 30 g tin is for everyone who drinks matcha straight.
- Sets combine matcha with suitable accessories: START RITUAL for getting started, FULL RITUAL with a bowl.
- Accessories for preparation: bamboo whisk (Chasen), bamboo scoop (Chashaku), sieve, as well as the AKENO ceramic bowl and the RIN glass bowl.
We deliberately offer no more varieties at the start. We will only expand once we see what you really buy again.
How we work
We do not have our own laboratory. Our supplier states that it tests every matcha batch it imports from Japan, and provides the corresponding analysis reports.
If you have questions about the lot number on your pack or about our matcha, write to us. We would rather give you specific answers than make grand statements.
